This hoya species is an exciting addition for collectors who love splashy foliage. With medium to large, splashy green leaves, hoya sp. Ko Chang Island grows with a steady, elegant vining habit and may reward patient growers with fragrant, starry blooms sooner than you think.
Features:
- 🌿 You will receive plant shown in photos, packed in its pot
- 🍃An unidentified Hoya species from Ko Chang Island Thailand. Attractive medium-to-large leaves with blotches of splash on leaves
- 🌸 A fairly easy bloomer, flowers are ivory coloured with peach coloured corona.
- 📍 Intermediate temperature growing hoya - suitably grown in temps 15-35 degrees celsius.
- 🌱 Vining/climbing habit perfect for trellises or cascading from a pot
Care Tips:
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Tolerates morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays. Too little light may slow growth.
- Water: Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings. Use the "soak and dry" method and avoid waterlogged conditions.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Benefits from misting or added humidity in dry environments.
- Temperature: Intermediate grower: range is 15–35°C. Keep away from cold drafts and protect from temperatures under 12°C.
- Soil: A light, airy mix is essential. Use orchid bark, perlite, and coco chips for excellent drainage and root health.
- Feeding: Feed monthly during the active growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant or orchid fertilizer.
- Growth Habit: Moderate grower with vining stems that can be trellised or left to trail. Trim occasionally to encourage bushiness.
Notes:
- Plant will be posted in its pot to minimise transit stress
- Leaf shape and color may vary slightly by season, light and growing conditions
- Ideal for beginner, intermediate to advanced collectors with a love for the unusual foliage
