Gorgeous green foliage
As yet an unidentified hoya species with firm green leaves, prominent veining and touches of splash. A collector's must have.
Because this species is still undescribed (sp. = species), it carries an air of mystery—and excitement—about its eventual blooms and growth traits.
✨ Features:
- 🌿 Rare unidentified Hoya species from Malaysia
- 🍃 Broad, dark green leaves with subtle veining and firm leaves
- 🌸 Potential to produce creamy to pink flowers (yet to bloom for many collectors)
- 🌱 Vigorous vining growth perfect for hanging or training
🌞 Care Tips:
- Light: Bright, indirect light preferred. Avoid direct afternoon sun, but a few hours of morning sun can boost growth and encourage flowering.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry. Reduce frequency in cooler months. Ensure pot drains well to prevent root rot.
- Humidity: Moderate to high humidity (50–70%) is ideal. Appreciates consistent moisture in the air, especially during active growth.
- Temperature:
- Intermediate grower: Ideal range: 18–28°C. Protect from cold and keep above 12°C.
- Soil: Well-draining, airy potting mix recommended (e.g., orchid bark, perlite, coco chips). Avoid heavy or soggy mixes.
- Feeding: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant or orchid fertilizer. A bloom booster may help if flower buds form.
- Growth Habit: Strong climber with firm, upright vines. Suitable for trellises, moss poles, or hanging pots. Can be pruned to encourage branching.
📝 Notes:
- Established and rooted plant
- Leaf shape, size, and texture may vary slightly with age, lighting and growing conditions
- Hard to find and limited availability
- Flowers may take time to appear—best for patient collectors!
