Hoya latifolia IML1590 (prev aff clandestina)

This plant is most valued for its impressive, glossy, dark green leaves that can grow up to 20 cm by 15 cm. They have prominent, raised venation, with larger, more mature leaves developing dimpling or sculptural textures. It produces dusty pink, star-shaped flowers with darker pink undersides and a yellow-centered pink corona. The blooms are about 9 mm in diameter, with up to 25 flowers forming in each umbrella-shaped cluster (umbel)

Features:

  • 🌿 You will receive plant shown in photos, packed in its pot
  • 🍃 Prominent dark green veins on emerald green leaf
  • 🌸  Dusty pink star shaped flowers and a yellow centered pink corona.
  • 📍 Grows well in temperatures between 25-35 degrees celsius. Prefers medium to bright filtered light
  • 🌱 Climbing hoya best grown on a trellis

Care Tips:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Tolerates morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays. Too little light may slow growth.
  • Water: Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings. Use the "soak and dry" method and avoid waterlogged conditions.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Benefits from misting or added humidity in dry environments.
  • Temperature: Warm grower: range is 25–35°C. Keep away from cold drafts and protect from temperatures under 15°C.
  • Soil: A light, airy mix is essential. Use orchid bark, perlite, and coco chips for excellent drainage and root health.
  • Feeding: Feed monthly during the active growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant or orchid fertilizer.
  • Growth Habit: Moderate grower with vining stems that can be trellised or left to trail. Trim occasionally to encourage bushiness.

Notes:

  • Plant will be posted in its pot to minimise transit stress
  • Leaf shape and color may vary slightly by season, light and growing conditions
  • Ideal for beginner, intermediate to advanced collectors with a love for the unusual foliage
