A beautifully slender-leaved Hoya, Hoya aff. kentiana Philippines is prized for its cascading vines, vibrant green foliage edged with red or pink tones, and clusters of deep pink, star-shaped flowers. “Aff.” indicates it is affinis or closely related to the known species kentiana, with unique traits observed in this particular IML 0834 clone from the Philippines.

This listing includes two cuttings rooted in one pot – for a fuller, bushier start to your collection!

Features:

  • Narrow, semi-succulent leaves with reddish margins in strong light
  • Flowers: Clusters of deep pink to maroon starry blooms with sweet fragrance
  • Double-planted for extra lush growth
  • Origin: Philippines (IML accession #0834)

Care Tips:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. A few hours of morning sun will enhance leaf color. Avoid harsh afternoon sun which may scorch the leaves.
  • Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Hoyas prefer to dry out a bit between waterings. Less water in winter.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50%+). It will thrive in a well-ventilated, warm environment.
  • Temperature: Intermediate temperature grower. Optimal temperature range is 15–35°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C.
  • Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix (e.g., orchid bark, perlite, coco coir). Avoid dense or water-retentive soils.
  • Feeding: Feed in spring and summer with a balanced or foliage-focused houseplant fertilizer. Use a bloom booster if flowering is your goal.
  • Growth Habit: Fast-growing under ideal conditions. Vining habit – suitable for hanging baskets or trellises.

Notes:

  • Plant will be packed in a well-drained potting mix, rooted and established
  • As a living plant, minor variations in leaf shape or color are natural
  • Double planted: two cuttings potted together for fuller pot.
